The American Muslim Women’s Association of Arizona (AMWA-AZ) has been helping women and families build paths to self-sufficiency since 1997, regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity. AMWA’s mission is to empower women for a brighter future.
The AMWA Scholarship, known as EvE: Empower via Education, was established to encourage aspiring women to excel in school and become leaders in their communities. We are pleased to announce two $ 1,000 scholarships, with $500 awarded for Fall 2026 and the opportunity to renew in Spring 2027.
This scholarship is available exclusively to students attending Arizona State University and Maricopa County Colleges.
Requirements
Eligibility:

Any female undergraduate student currently enrolled full time at Maricopa Community Colleges and ASU irrespective of her ethnic or religious background

GPA of at least 2.7

Demonstrate financial need

Legal US citizen and Arizona resident
Documents Needed:

Income/expense statement (see attached).

Other scholarships, loans and grants etc.

Community involvement and extracurricular activities.

Two or more letters of recommendation by counselors and/or teachers.
